How often do GM computers go bad and what is the cause? It seems to me rather expensive to keep replacing them when there is no evident cause. The rough idle was supposedly the computer which cost nearly $500.00, this time. Also, is it common practice, now, to charge for diagnostics and not apply that charge to the repair cost? I spent $134. for diagnostics to be told what they thought anyway, the computer was bad. Still, Goodyear is cheaper than my dealer, but really!
