removed rear window on '64 Riv to fix rust. there was plenty of permetex but can't tell if there was a gasket. so.... is there supposed to be a gasket or does permetex hold window in place. thanks

there is no gasket persay. and its not permetex it's butalin tape,comes in a roll available at most auto paint supply stores real part stores that carries body supplies.you will also need a can of primerto go with it.
