Hi Guys,
Thanks for the advice about my 56 Buick. It looks like there is a problem with the fuel line or electric pump. Over the weekend I hooked up a container of gas directly to the carburetor to see if would stay running, and it did. The car ran as long as I was pumping gas into the carb. Looks like there is a problem with the fuel line or electric pump. I don’t have an air compressor to clean out the line. Will a can of air have enough force to blow out the line? Should I play it save and put in a new fuel line?
Questions part 2. When I put the gas in the container, the gas was green, looked like watered down Gatorade. I thought gas had a light orange look to it. Does anyone know why this gas was green? Is all gas green? I bought at the Shell Station.
I was hoping this problem wouldn’t take very much time. I was trying to get this thing running ASAP so I could sell it. I found another car I really want but don’t have enough money or room to buy to both cars.
Thanks
Jack
