Steering Wheel on a 57 Super

I have a 57 Super and I need to know how I can get the steering wheel off so I can try and fix my turn signals (my hands are getting cold the way I have to signal now). I tried using a wheel puller but that just made me have to fix my horn (long story). Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.

Tom, to remove the wheel the shop manual shows a plate type of puller. Two 5/16 bolts thread into the tapped holes on the hub of the wheel. It is something that would not be too hard to make if this kind of puller is not handy. The horn ring has to be completely removed first.

The turn signal switch and wiring on the 57s is mounted on the steering column jacket under the dash. There is only an actuator mechanism up at the steering wheel hub.

It would be a good idea to pick up an original Buick shop manual for the car. They are not that expensive, especially for a used one from ebay. If you need some exceprts from it for now, let me know and I will have them scanned in.
