    What I have done is:

    Drill a hole, tap it and screw in a pipe end plug... These can be found in many sizes... You may have to drill them out with a few different sized drill bits till you get the large enough size to match the pipe plug you can find.

    Another way to do it is to find a frost plug that is slightly larger than the hole and dril the hole out till it is a snug fit... Use some JB weld to secure it if you go this route.

    Yet another way is to machine a brass plug to fit the holes and lightly tap it in...

    I prefer the drilling and tapping myself. I use a sealant called "the right stuff" by permitex on the threads as well.
