Hello Tim...........By the numbers here is what I have:
1950 model 43
Model 43 = 6 passenger Special Jetback (Fastback) Sedan. This series has no chrome moldings according to Buick.
style no. 50-4408
4408 = The Fisher body ID for this vehicle.
body no. BW 1624
BW = Buick assembly plant at Wilmington,DE.
1624 = Fisher build sequence number.
trim no. 40
40 = Grey Striped Cloth Interior.
paint no. 49-01
The first number usually denotes the year "49" = 1949, but 01 = Carlsbad Black exterior which is the same code for 1949 and 1950. This code also has "black" wheels as standard.
top acc MA
Sorry but I do not have accessory codes for the older models.
Total production for the series "43" = 13,113
Weight = 3,715 lbs
Cost = $1,909.00
Hope this helps
Thanks,
David
