87 gn the brake pedal is firm with the key off,when i turn the ignition on motor on or off the hydroboost motor turns on and the brake pedal drops 3-4 inches and the idiot light flashes on then off. i know accumulators are a common problem but every thing i have found on bad accumulator consist of a hard brake pedal any advice?
 
If the accumulator is bad it will not bring up the proper pressure in the system. Very well could be the problem. Has it ever been replaced?You might try www.kirbanperformance.com for the accumulator. He is the only one I am aware of that sells them now.
