Correct brake shoe size for 1950 Super

I'm trying to update my front brakes. I have the original 1950 Super manual and it calles for a shoe size 1 3/4 x 3/16. However, all the parts web sites say the shoes should be 2 1/14 x 3/16. Even the Monroe corporate website shows this. I had ordered what the websites offer, but it is wider than the drum itself. Any ideas on where to find the 1 3/4 brake shoe?

From the download catalog at www.oldbuickparts.com:

FRONT (set is enough for 2 wheels)
1936-1951...1936-1951 Special & Super..................................BS-29......1 3/4”.....$54.50 set

REAR (set is enough for 2 wheels)
1936-1955....1936-1955 Series 40; 1940-1952 Series 50........BS-29......1 3/4”......$54.50 set

Working on the brakes on my 53, and they seem to have the best info and availability of parts I've come across for this.

Brake shoes for 50 Buick

Thanks for your help. After a lot of research, I finally concluded that the ones you mentioned are, in fact, the correct shoes. I just ordered them Monday and hope to have them received and installed this weekend. Once I do that, and they fit, I'll stop the thread.
Thanks again!

Good info to have. Got my car with a Bob's catalog in it. Said for me to tell them my brake shoe size. Then ended up getting conflicting sizes from different places like you.
