Drip rail seam sealer

I'm in the process of repairing my driver side drip rail. Actually, the drip rail is fine, its the roof right at the drip rail and into the main structure and through to the window seal.

Anyway, this type of body work is new to me. In order to weld where I need to, I had to remove the factory rail sealant. Remembering that I am a shade tree mechanic, with just normal home tools, is there a seam sealer someone can recommend?

Thanks,

Jim

You can use 3M products, comes in a caulking tube, white, tan or gray in color. Read the setting times and application, paintable, adheres to metal, etc. Dont get the black urethane that one is for windshields.
While you are there brush some sulphuric acid/OXPHO on that rust will convert so it doesn't keep rusting away.
