Search light for a 1947 Roadmaster

My recently purchased 1947 Buick Roadmaster sedanette has one search light, on the driver's side, but it seems a little big and is not Guide brand, which a friend tells me an original one should be.

Can anyone confirm if it needs to be Guide brand and if there is a particular size or model I should look for to have an original search light on my car?

search light where options, no cars came from the factory with a search light installed.
so any type model and brand of searchlight could have been installed at the time.
there are more company's who made these and could be period correct like GE, unity, Carlisle and finch, howe. and many many more

I had thought they were original factory equipment as a few of them I've seen have the car brand stamped.

So, being a non factory option, any type/brand and size would be correct, if I understand correctly.
