Skylark speakers

I just picked up a cherry 70 Skylark. I wanted to put in some standard speakers, nothing fancy, but I'm not sure what size will fit in the stock holes of the rear dash plate. They look like maybe 6x9's, but I'm not sure. Also, if anyone has put speakers up front, I'd love to hear about how htey were mounted, what size, etc. Thanks for the info.

rear speakers are i belive, 6X9 .
front speakers are another story. if you dash does have a pair of openings for spreakers , then u can install modern speakers in these holes. if u only have the centre speaker in the dash, the u can obtain
a replace setup of a pair of stereo speakers
on a bar the replace the origin in dash speaker . several companies market this
setup in 4 ohm . u will have to check the
internet.
