I could use some help, I just bought a 2dr 53 buick special, but it has a nailhead. According to the identification charts, thats not possible with a special. This car appears to be factory with only 78k and bone stock. The engine number is VI532345.

Also, where do I find the Model information at on the vehicle?

Your engine number indicates it came from a 53 Super. If you haven't seen it, take a look at the engine ID guide on this site (go to the SHOP tab from the home page, then to engine identifcation).

Maybe your car is really a Super and not a Special? The Specials that year were all 6 Volt systems, while the Super and Roadmaster were 12 V. There were other differences in the series that year too which can be investigated.

Look on the cowl under the hood for the body id plate. There should be a model number on it like 53-4419. We can decode that to see if it is a Super or Special. Also the VIN can be examined. Can't remember right off the bat if it contains the series information though.
