Steering wheel restoration

I have a 79 Buick Riviera. Center of steering wheel is in good condition but the wheel is cracked in several places. Do you know anyone who restores? What material is the steering wheel made of? I tried using bondo but it just keeps cracking. Would fiberglass work?
