I Have a 1991 Buick skylark and the speedo will not work I need to know where the sending sencer is on the transmission it is a 2.5 liter please help
Wyatt, look on the right side of the transmission, to the rear, near where the right axle shaft exits. There will be a 2-wire connector having a yellow and a purple wire. This socket goes to the speed sensor.
The speed sensor feeds its signal to the ECM electronic control module. The ECM then generates the signals to drive the speedometer and the cruise control. If the cruise works, the speed sensor is OK.
