I have just got an installatin kit for Winnona valve liners. I am interested in comments from people with experience with them.
The steps for installing them are:
Clean valve guide
Thread the guide with appropriate tool
Screw in liner and break of excess
Drive seating tool through the liner
Ream liner to size
Cut off excess liner
The first problem I am running into with installing them is in the reaming step. They really want to "unscrew". I see they offer a plastic clamp that is supposed to help this. I built a bronze one with a set screw, but it doesn't seem to do the job.
Any suggestions?
