How do you remove the dash trim...

along the upper edge on a 64 Riv without breaking it? Looks like a clip holding it on but it has to come off to access the screws holding the glove box surround to the base. Thanks

    help pls???

You might try these guys: http://www.fatmanfab.com/ My boss has a '50 Merc with a late 70s Camaro subframe. We had the same problem as you and bought their narrowed control arms. As mentioned above the turning radius will be adversely affected. This thing is like driving the Queen Mary!

Exhaust Valve Seat Inserts or Lead Additive?

It's an additive that they have taken out of most oils. http://www.compperformancegroupstores.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CC&Product_Code=1590&Category_Code=

    what year block is this?

There used to be a really good reference chart on here for engine numbers but I can't find it anymore. I found a 425 short block core in the back at work with a flexplate on it so brought it home to take apart for that. It's a 425 with casting number 1364705, serial number starts with 5C, and...

    build sheet decode?

I did a search here but didn't come up with anything. Does anyone know how to decode the build sheet? Some of the info is the same as the trim tag but there's a bunch more stuff on it. I found it under the carpet between the layers of insulation.

will '62 LeSabre manifolds fit my '64 Riviera? I found a set real cheap but not going to bother if they don't work. Thanks-Chuck

How much is too much flywheel runout?

I bought a 66 425 core form our core supplier for $450 ( the 401 I had turned out to be cracked-junk). The biggest reason I spent that much was his assertion that it was SO complete even had a flexplate, alternator, starter, distributor, intake manifold, and all the brackets. since a flexplate...

    64 Riviera Heater cable

That was mine for a year and a half. I bought it from Greg in '06 and sold it back to him when finances went bad. I did a lot to that car. My son painted it. I have lots of pics if you're interested. I'm glad you like it-I almost cried when he drove off in it. Now that I think about it maybe I...

    First gen Riviera disc brakes?

Anyone have disc front brakes on a first gen Riviera? What parts did you use? I've seen the brackets on ebay from Scarebird-looks like a good way to go but are there alternatives?

    64 Riviera Heater cable

Heater valve goes on the pass side fenderwell by the blower motor. You should be able to see a couple of screw holes about an inch or two apart. Can't help with the cables-I disconnected all the hoses on my last one and never got into the HVAC system. My new one is not going to have any of the...

    '63 401 crank casting numbers

I found a '63 401 to use in my '64 Riviera but now I'm wondering if it will fit the 64 trans. The casting number page on buicks.net doesn't open for me anymore-did I do soething wrong?

    new guy here

Hi. I just discovered this forum yesterday. Just bought a project 64 Riv to replace the nice one I had to sell a couple of years ago for $$$ reasons. This one needs LOTS but it's pretty straight and was real cheap.
