    undersize v6 crankshaft

I wouldn't be afraid to use it in stock application at all. I have had no problems over the years using cranks with significant under sizes. As long as it is properly ground by someone that knows what they are doing. A crank out a 3.8 would work if you don't want to chance it.

51 Buick 263 Straight 8 to PG Trans or?

There is nothing made out of aluminum that will bolt to one of these engines. Transmission wise anyway. You will have to make or buy an adapter. There is one place, I believe, that makes a straight eight adapter. I don't remember off the top of my head how to spell their name. It's Brenstens or...

    63 Lesabre brakes

The hub and the drum are one piece. It is removed just like you would a rotor on a disc brake car. Tap off the dust shield, pull the cotter pin and remove the nut. The whole unit should come off easily as long as there is not too big of a lip in the drum. If there is a big lip you might have to...

    1970 Buick Skylark Fuel Problem

I would be willing to bet my life savings that it's not the lobe on the cam. There is not enough spring pressure on the pump arm to wipe it out in that amount of time. You need to keep looking for another problem. You can test your mechanical fuel pump by hooking a hose to it and putting the...

    park brk lite stays on

Pull out on the release with one hand and pull up on the foot lever with the other hand. You probably pushed it down a notch when you were crawling around under the dash.

    Drive shaft angles

The pinion being offset to one side or the other won't matter a bit unless the driveshaft hits the tunnel or some other obstruction in it's range of motion. That's the FULL range of motion. From bottomed out on the stoppers to hanging on the shock absorbers with the springs loose at full...

    55-57 Buick technical information

Sorry, but you are out of luck. The Chevy and the Buick are completely different. You will probably need to put the body on a newer chassis to do what you are trying to accomplish. If you want all the bells and whistles, and it sounds like you do, I would go the the Morrison Chassis website and...

better carb and intake for 401-425 Nail head

Is your heat riser valve in the exhaust manifold operating like it is supposed to? I ran alcohol gas for years in my '65 Riviera for the octane and used the stock Rochester 4G and stock distributor and never had a problem. If I was gonna go through all the monkey motion to swap a carb on this...

1965 Skylark convertible will it work ?

Parts for the '70 Skylark will NOT fit the '65. The floors and frame MIGHT be compatible from '64 thru '66 but later ones will not work. Yes you need a boxed frame for a convertible. Finding one will be very difficult. If you did find it you would probably be taking it from a car that is in...

    350 Oil Pressure Issues

I just re read your earlier post where you stated that you " followed all the accepted practices for improving oil flow". If I may ask, what modifications did you make? Some of these things are for race only engines. I personally have built several Buick engines and for a street engine, even a...

    350 Oil Pressure Issues

Low 48, thanks for having a sense of humor. There is no way you are going to know what it is until you find it. All we can do is offer ideas as to what it might be. Every so often you get one that doesn't work out like ya want. That's life. Like I said previously, you won't know what it is until...

    350 Oil Pressure Issues

Really, one bad experience and your ready to throw in the towel and condemn a whole division of GM? Come on. I've worked in the machine shop business for 22+ years and have seen people drag in all sorts of mucked up Chevy jobs over the years. "Just do a quick valve job and bore the block and...

    350 Oil Pressure Issues

I would start by checking how much end clearance there is between the oil pump gears and the pump cover. I believe that the minimum is somewhere around .002" and you should be as close to this as you can. You may need a different gasket as every gasket maker seems to have a different thickness...

Yes, it should fit quite nicely.

    1965 buick rally rims

You Need the wheels from a full size Buick up to and including 1976 with a 5 x 5 bolt pattern. The '79 would be 5 x 4 3/4 and would not fit the lugs.

Front quarter panel script install 63 Riviera

I would get a look inside the fender to make sure that there is not 7 little fingers of body filler poking out where somebody body worked over the holes in the past. If there is it makes drilling the holes fairly easy. Just drill them from the inside out. Although all of this is a lot more work...

Running even fire heads with oddfire

Later model RWD even fire cores are cheap and still available. Just swap the whole thing instead of just the heads. Parts will be cheaper and way easier to get. Not to mention the aftermarket performance parts that are available for later engines. Odd Fires were murder on timing chains.

    Running unleaded fuel

It will run just fine on unleaded gasoline. Besides racing fuel you don't have much choice. Put a lead additive in it once in a while if your worried about valve seat recession.

    1962 skylark...needs engine

Dredging up the past Guys! Look at the date of the original post. It was a year ago and the guy only ever made one post. Most likely he is not tuning in for opinions at this point. Always look at how old a post is before you reply. If it's a name you don't see much you can probably assume that...
