i need to know what is more prone to break in the 455 what are the weakness point i heard the valve or the rocker and can i use 1970 rocker arm for my 1976 pushrod valve even the whole head?

What are you trying to do? they are tough engines. You are more likely to break something in the drive train than the engine.

the oiling system is the weakest point in all big block buicks. don't over rev them. make sure you have good oil pressure and regular oil changes with a good quality oil filter ( NOT FRAM!!)

i know i already broke my driving shaft(the yoke)and my tranny is not in the better shape.everytime something broke i put new or better so i love to beat my car .what can i do for the oiling systeme?enlarge the passage? put external oil pump if that exist? thank you for the reply

Thrust washer

I used to dirt track race a 455 olds motor and the only weak point I could find was the oiling system to the cam and the thrust washer at the rear of the cam. It pushed out just enough to affect the timing under load but would idle perfect. When I tore it down I found that when torque was applied the cam walked backwards and when at idle it would pull forward with the chain. If you rebuild it there are better replacement parts if you plan to race it.
