Engine vin number

Hey guys, I have a vin number off my 73 455. Its 43c126976 I was wondering if anyone knows were I can look to find out what this engine came out of. I know what the first three numbers mean, but I don't know what the last six are. 4 being buick motor division 3 being the year it was made and C meaning it was made in south gate, CA but I don't know what the other ones are. Im just curious as to what this engine came out of. Thanks Keith.

That's just the sequential vehicle assembly number at that plant. It means nothing as far as the engine is concerned. You would need to find the actual car with that VIN to learn any more about it.

3 = 1973 model year
C = South Gate, CA
126976 = sequential number, range was 100001 to 131497 for South Gate, which built B-body cars (LeSabre, LeSabre Custom, Centurion, Estate Wagon)
