Fellow Buick Enthusiests:
When I purchased My 56 Buick Special, It had been Sitting Idle Since 1970. The Fuel Line is Clogged and Quite Corroded at the Unions. I opted to Purchase a New Stainless Fuel Line from INLINE TUBE who by the way Provided Excellent Service 50 Hours from time of Order to Delivery from Michigan to Rhode Island. I intend to Go Through the Entire Fuel System. I purchased a New Filter and a Rebuilt Kit for the Carter 2 Barrel Carb.
My Next Option is to Drop the Tank and Clean it out. The Tank appears to be in Decent Shape and holds Air My Question is How Do I Go About Cleaning the Tank? How Do I Prepare the Tank? Should I Etch It and Seal It? What Products should I Use? What Vendor/Suppliers should I Purchase From?
From My Research, there are quite a Number of Products on the Market to Choose From.
I am LQQKING for Suggestions/Opinions/Experiences from other Do It Yourself Restorers. I want to Do This Thing Right for the First and Last Time
I Don't want to miss any steps as I attempt to climb the Stairway to Heaven, In My Crusade to Restore a Classic Mid-Fiftys Buick to the Glory IT once Enjoyed. I don't want to miss a Step and Wind Up in the Depths of Hell.
