Hi Buick Gods
I recently purchase a 56 Buick that just had the carburetor rebuilt before I bought it. I drove it around for a few weeks and put it in the garage. After a couple of weeks of sitting in the garage, I went to start it and it will not stay running now. It will start for about 10- 15 seconds and die out. If I go to try to use the accelerator it will die out. Choke is fine, and the car does not flood. This car has an electric fuel pump so I took the fuel line off to see if I was getting gas. When I turn the car on I can here the electric fuel pump compressor turn on. There was no fuel coming out at this point, so I turned the engine over. It took a few seconds but the gas did start to leak out. Any Ideas of why the car will only run for a few seconds.
