I have own my Lady 44 years.Was skrap when i beginning restoration.Now a wonderful car to ride but my schoulders give me problems.No Powersteering so if anowone has solutions let me know.Cheers .

Anywone put electrical power steering in a old Buick?

Not that I have done it, I haven't... but it would seem that the first issue would be to have a 12 Volt electrical system, which many of the cars that would benefit from power steering weren't originally equipped with. Just food for thought before jumping into a major project that might wind up being deeper and more complicated than it first appeared.

I mention that because my own car uses a six volt system (1948) and I have considered the same thing. Probably not applicable to your car... but I am sure the same idea has very likely occurred to several others. I hope somebody has done it (and responds) as I would also like to know what all is entailed.
