Hello, I am looking for a OEM NOS switch pitch transmission control switch for TH400, 66 Buick Lesabre, 340 4bl, switch pitch torque convertor.
My original switch is broken and I would like to replace it with a good used or new original style switch.

I found some info searching the net and I believe the part number for a 1965 will work, it is Group 4.057, P/N 1371120.

I tried to attach document with photos but the file size was too large.

Email me at 1quest@telus.net and I will send photos of my switch assy.

Switchpitch(s.p.) transmissions were availabe from 1965-7 in the full size BOP cars.Even some Cadillacs have the s.p. transmissions. The name switch pitch comesfrom the vanes in the torque converter being able to change their angle (pitch)in order to reduce friction(force) and get the vehicle moving. This would besimilar to somebody trying to start pedaling a ten speed in 10th gear versus1st or 2nd gear. These transmissions were used in the full size cars since theengines did not make a lot of torque and they were quite heavy.
