Front Seat Back "Braided Rope Hand Grabs"

:waving: Hey Dale

I appreciate the generous offer.

I have a 2 door hardtop with the fold-down bench seat. and I think Your Roadmonster is 4 inches wider than my Special.

Did You remove Yours? or did you get new ones.?

Get back to me when You get a chance.

Regards,:beers:

Tom,
Story is I don't have the 850 clams the upolstery guy wants to cover just my front seat so for the time being I went to the Junk Yard and found a set of black leather (elec. 8-way adjustable) buckets and the rear 60/40 fold down for $125.00. I already have the back seat in (yes the fold down works) and am fabbing up the mounts for the front. Will post some pics if ya wanna see em.

Robe rails

Robe rails were offered only on the two door Supers and Roadmasters and all four doors. I have a '55 46R and a friend of mine has a '55 66R; they both do not have robe rails.
Robe rails were used to hang and store a blanket over them to be used by back seat passangers to keep warm.

Custom seat covers

I found a place in Ma. that still has patterns for my 56.
Had them supply all black but with my pattern design. Cost $375
and I installed. Jerry Zalucki 800-423-6053 Custom Interiors.
As you can see from the pics not perfect but I was very pleased.
They fit good and had a nice foam backing which gives them a nice feel and are very comfortable too. I faxed him sketches of the design.
If you need more info let me know.

Front seat with ropes

Another view of the front seat.
It shows the "ropes", but contrary to previous replys I think these were standard but maybe were eliminated by others when new covers were installed. I bet if you feel around you will find the old holes where the chrome attach pieces were. And it you do install them be sure you put the screws in before you slip the covers over, then find them and put a little slit to remove. The holes are hard to find after without the screws.
Or you can use the braille method keep poking holes til you find them!:D
By the way I also have Custom Interiors email if you need it.
Also, we all use V8Buick forum too, but I like some of these add on
thingys better.:bana: :laugh_4: :coo: :waving:

New Back Seat

Silverfox,
Here are a couple of pics of the rear seat. I still need to do some metal fab for the bottom frame. Should have that complete by weeks end. I used the original seat frame and took the springs off of it. Not the best pics I will have to get some better ones here in awhile.

I am almost embarrassed to say that they are out of a 04' Hyundai XG300. The car had been in a head on collision and the air bags had not been deployed. Car had 35,000 on the odometer. I am sad to think this is what I have been relegated to but, I am a hotrodder at heart.....any port in a storm and make whatcha got work!!!!! That's my story and I am stickin' to it!!!!!!!!:beers:
