Transmission part identification/location

I removed my stock '62 Dynaflow a week or so ago to get a leak repaired. My tranny rebuild guy called me and said I needed a flywheel, as mine had several teeth missing and was probably causing starter damage. I searched for a flywheel with no success then found out that's not actually what that part is called....so...I need the part on the outside of the converter that the starter turns.

Can anyone tell me what the official name for it is or where I can find it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The flex plate for a dynaflow is shaped like a trinangle, that's not what you need. You need a starter ring gear; but as stated, it's part of the torque converter. Look for someone parting out a dynaflow.
